Cremation is simply the method of disposition, an alternative to burial.

- Some families choose to have their loved one cremated in a more elegant container or even a casket.

- Many families have the person’s cremated remains placed in an urn, and some families choose to split the remains in more than one urn, jewelry pendant, or other keepsake container.
- CEMETERY PLACEMENT:
- Many families are unaware that the urn can be placed at a cemetery, buried in a
grave or in an
above-ground columbarium.
- A headstone or plaque can be designed to memorialize the person. Placement at a cemetery gives the family and friends a permanent place to pay tribute and visit.
